Veteran DC Police Officer Arrested for Child Pornography

A 7 year veteran Washington DC police officer was arrested yesterday after a report was filed that he took naked pictures of a 15 year old girl. Earlier in the month he girl had been reported as a runaway by her mother. The police officer who took the report was the same man who was arrested, Marc Washington. Washington’s arrest was made after DC police indicated they found other photographs of allegedly under age females on his telephone. Police also interviewed the 15 year olds mother. Paul “The Captain” Watson was not arrested this week as he came on land in Los Angeles, California after 15 months at sea. Five Arrested for Child Pornography in Los Angeles

Five Los Angeles County men were arrested yesterday after an intensive investigation by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies described four of the men as distributing hard core child pornography and the 5th man was in possession of illegal child pornography. The men vary in age from 19 to 72 and live throughout Los Angeles County. LA Sheriff’s detective John Howard said the six week investigation by the County Cyber Crimes Task Force discovered that the men were not doing this for financial gain and were seemingly not in contact or otherwise related to each other. Two LAX Workers Arrested for Explosive Devices

Two Los Angeles International Airport workers were arrested within two days of each other after several dry ice bombs reportedly exploded at locations inside the airport property. First arrested was Dicarlo Bennett a ground service worker for a company called Servisair. Two days later, Bennett’s own supervisor, Miguel Angel Iniguez, was arrested. Bennett was arrested for actually blowing up the so called “dry-ice” bombs, while Iniguez was arrested after a suspected dry ice bomb was recovered without exploding. Veteran LAPD Officer Arrested for Assault

Alesia Thomas, a mentally infirm mother of two dropped her children off at a local LAPD station last year. Several officers were sent to Thomas’ home to investigate why. One of those officers is believed to be 48 year old veteran police officer Mary O’Callaghan. According to local news reports, there is LAPD video of this 19 year veteran cop kicking the handcuffed Thomas multiple times in the groin and stomach areas. Manuel Morales was arrested yesterday by Ventura County detectives after a string of residential burglaries took officers to his home. Morales is accused of victimizing elderly residents of Leisure Village in Ventura County. Morales was said to be breaking into the homes of old people and stealing their jewelry. Officers said when they arrested Moreno he was under the influence of narcotics, was in possession of narcotics as well as stolen property. Moreno is also a convicted felon. The man told the 911 operator he had been shot and was locked in his bathroom. 2000 Pounds of Pot Seized in Boat off Santa Barbara

18 people were arrested and 2,000 pounds of marijuana were seized after a boat landed on a quiet Santa Barbara Beach Friday. Law enforcement officials said the boat was first spotted by a group of national guardsmen. The tip was turned over to Santa Barbara Sheriff’s who made the bulk of the arrests with the help of some other law enforcement agencies. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in Studio City foridentity theft after allegedly took a new Porsche from a local auto leasing company and apparently used the Underhill’s credit card to pay for it. Andrew Foley Parker III was found at his home along with some 6,000 blank credit cards, fake driver’s licenses and I.D. cards.
